GRAAALPS is a premier ultra gravel race and adventure, launched last year with a first edition journeying from Mandelieu to Crans-Montana. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the French, Italian, and Swiss Alps, GRAAALPS invites riders to embark on a truly unique gravel bikepacking experience under a semi-autonomous format— the first and only of its kind. From the iconic peaks of Crans-Montana to the picturesque Mediterranean coastline of Mandelieu, this odyssey spans three countries and offers a demanding yet unforgettable alpine challenge.
For this edition, we’ve added three distinct distances: 800 km (full route) starting from Crans-Montana, 500 km from Turin, and 300 km from Cuneo.

THE SEMI AUTONOMY DETAILED:
The semi-autonomy concept at GRAAALPS is crafted to enhance your adventure by providing essential services while preserving your autonomy on the route. From transporting your bike box to the finish line to managing drop bags at our strategically located base camp along the course, we take care of the essentials. Moreover, our vigilant team monitors each rider’s progress through GPS, prepared to deploy safety protocols in emergencies, ensuring your focus remains solely on pedaling. Whether you choose to stop at our base camp for refreshments and facilities or continue without interruption, the decision is yours. GRAAALPS is fundamentally committed to assisting every participant in completing their challenge in the safest manner possible.
There will be 2 basecamps for the 800km race (1 in Turin, 1 in Cuneo) There will be 1 basecamp for the 500km race (1 in Cuneo) There won’t be any basecamp for the 300km race – only at the arrival in Mandelieu

BIKE BOX/BAG TRANSFER: As part of your registration, we’re offering a seamless transfer service for your bike box/bag, ensuring it travels with you from the vibrant start in Crans-Montana, or Turin or Cuneo to the finish line in Mandelieu. Simply hand over your box/bag during registration day. And here’s a tip: Your bike box might be doubling as extra storage, so give it a quick empty before the handover.
DROP BAG: Included in your registration fee is our ‘Drop Bag’ (20L) service (drop bag not included, please bring yours). Drop it off on registration day, just before the adventure begins. We’ll transport it to the base camp, where you can easily locate it for a quick change. Leave it with us again, and we’ll ensure it reaches the finish line. Remember, your belongings await you at the finish line; nothing will be left behind. GRAAALPS takes care of the details so you can focus on the ride!
